I'm in senior year of my high school. I'm giving my SAT in october and I plan on giving the SAT 2 in december. The deadline for applying to most colleges is either 31st December or 15th January. The SAT 2 exam will be held on the 6th of December and the results are expected by December 23rd at the earliest. from what I've read, it takes 2-4 weeks for them to recieve scores from college board. My question here is that, since most colleges will be receiving my SAT 2 scores after the deadline, will they accept them? if they decide to accept my scores late, will it affect their descision in any way? Will they accept my self reported scores that I send for the SAT 2? I'm really curious as to all these questions. I appreciate all the help. Thankyou.

You really need to look at each schools admissions site to find the answer. In general, they will accept scores that are a little late. Stanford says they wont guarantee review of late scores for EA applicants. RD is a little different I think though.

Best bet is to check on the schools web sites and email a few of them with this question.

Check whether the college says on its site that scores need to be in its hands by the application deadline. There are a small number of collegfes with late Dec to mid-Jan applicaiton deadlines which actually say that. All the rest accept scores that arrive after the deadline and majority even accept Jan test scores for RD.

Right, some schools will not. This is too important to rely on someone on a thread saying, hey, you’re fine.

thanks everyone for the advice. I’ve shortlisted alot of colleges, so I’ll have to send a lot of emails. Better start

Well check the admissions dept web page first, there might be a FAQ or section dealing with this. No need to email unless the information is not available on the site.
