Hi everyone so I am one of those students that has good grades, good ECs, but just can't seem to do well on standardized testing. I have only gotten 2 Bs in high school, have plenty of leadership, service, blah blah (all that good HYP stuff), but standardized test just seem to get the best of me. Am I screwed for top schools (lower ivy's, top LACs) with these stats?

ACT: 32
SAT-expecting a 2200+ when I retake in December. I think I scored 2000-2200 the first time in november without studying much. I did a lot of ACT studying though so that helped. However I will probably not score much higher then 2200 and for my school and zip code which is VERY COMPETITIVE, anything less then 2250-2300+ is not going to make you stand out at top schools. In some classes over 50% of the students score above 2150 and I will be first compared to other people from my school so thats my problem.
SAT 2s
770-US
710-Bio
650-math 2 (I'm good at Math and am in Calc BC but I'm just extremely slow at math so this test hasn't been very nice to me) :(
All schools only require two SAT IIs so the math won't hurt or at least I don't think it will.
AP (my one strong suite)
5-Bio
5-Euro
5-US
5-Comp. Gov (didn't take the course LOL0
4-english lang.
4-human geo

Thanks and sorry but I think you misunderstood me. I am talking about LACs that rank right up with lower ivys (i.e. Swarthmore, Amherst, Williams, and Emory which is not an LAC but sorta like one). Those schools all require test scores and they factor into admissions as much as they do at HYPSM.

nah, your test scores are just fine for your schools. If you get denied, it certainly won’t be because of them. Solid chances, would be surprised if you didn’t get into at least a couple! :D
