<p>Jwblue, I think your stats are wrong. NYU puts down 1300-1450 on their website and I believe that is for "admitted" students and not for enrolled students. Therefore, the 1370 average SAT makes sense in terms of admits, b/c a lot of highly qualified kids turnh down NYU for other schools. Look at US News which publishes NYU SAT range for enrolled students and it is something like 1200-1400. Therefore, the real sat average at NYU is around a 1300.</p>

<p>They aren't my stats, they are directly from the source. Read the NYU website again...the 1300-1450 is for freshman (ie those who enrolled), not admitted students. </p>
<p>Even the Princeton Review web site puts NYU's SAT average at 1352. The US News stats are several years old, and clearly not correct.</p>
