Sorry that this is so long!

cool.
ok i have a tendency to “over write” stuff which isn’t bad per se, but i have a ton of hw i have to get to, sooo yeah.
ill be keeping this one short and sweet, but if you would want to know more about the other stuff i say [it revolves around the application, etc] feel free to PM and i will get back to you ASAP!

now for your chance: thigns would’would’ve been easier if i had known the UC GPA, but no biggie.
i think you have a decent → semi-high chance of getting in.
As far as your SAT II’s go, if you could take them once more, go for it; if not it doesn’t matter, your scores are decent enough.

i got in with a 1860 SAT I and my SAT II’s were: 650,620,600 [math 2, spanish, bio]

i guess i my “4.25 GPA and extraordinary EC’s” made them want me, but im sure you have the same too
[part of my extra stuff was about choosing your EC’s and all and about essays, so let me know if you want to read that LONG work ;)]

SAT 2’s barley matter. Dont even trip. Just apply. I was in your position before and worrying just got my mind off studying. Just apply and thats the only thing you can do. You just need to click a couple buttons and send.

Your SAT’s are fine. Your SAT I’s are a lot better than what my friends here have gotten. Your EC’s look great too. I applied to this school with almost zero EC’s. Honestly, I think the biggest problem is your grades. Your 8 B’s during sophomore and junior year probably hurts a lot, but like spatel23 said: go calculate your UC GPA, and post back here for more accurate estimate.

Woops, I swore I wrote my gpa.

UC Weighted: 3.92

It’s really low I know :frowning: I wish that I’d been able to pull out a few more A’s in my classes. Do you think they’ll take my course load in to account? I know they probably figure that in when they add in the “8 semesters of honors/ap” but still… I’m just wondering I guess if they’ll look at my 3.92 in comparison with someone who took super easy classes and got a UC gpa of 4.1 or something…Does that make sense?

Thanks everyone for your input btw. I really appreciate it! Oh and @spatel23 I would be interested in what you have to say. So go for it if you have time.

Now that I see your UC GPA, I think you have a good chance to get in.

i second radishrp’s opinion. they are looking at it holistically too, so you have a fair / decent shot. i would lean more towards your favor though, so :D

oh and i will try to PM you when i have time ;)

my sat i scores were below yours, i really don’t remember now. and my sat ii scores around your scores.
i got in.
i didn’t have a lot of ec’s either, under a handful of stuff–sports, some clubs. wasn’t the president or anything either.
my gpa was good though (i think). i don’t remember it now though…on my school transcript it was like 4.29 or something? uh i don’t know the uc gpa. but i did have quite a few b’s. 5? 7? but only a’s and b’s. freshman and sophomore years were straight a’s. b’s were in junior year.

i think my essay was hella awesome though since i don’t know what else it could’ve been.

i think you’ve got a good chance.

just curious what school district you are in? and I think you have a really good shot btw
