will my SATII hurt/help me?

I am applying to Emory and I have

610 writing, 680 math2c, 750 spanish, 800 chinese

Emory does not require SATII and considering my english is second language, I think 610 is good writing score. but since chinese is my first language, 800 won’t help me that much

what do you guys think?

so...i guess this is the popular thread

if Emory doesnt require satiis why send it? you should send spanish and chinese. i believe adcons like to see diversity in satiis. there are so many types, but almost everyone takes only the writing and a math (sometimes a science). did you take the toefl? hows your sati scores?

I know a lot of people who are foreign and take the SAT II in their language. I don't really think it helps much. The 750 Spanish does look good though. As for the others, I don't really know the Emory standards for those, but 600+ for schools that don't require them tends to play in favor.

"you should send spanish and chinese." - gh0st

You can't send in just the scores you want with the SAT. Whenever you report scores to a college the college sees all of the SAT and SAT II scores.

I got 600 on my verbal
