I thought I was going to UCLA for sure, so I submitted the SIR (Yes, I know that was stupid). However, I reasoned out my options, and I am now contemplating between UCLA and Cal (if I get in of course). I earned $100 notarizing some documents a couple minutes ago as I commonly do; that being said, retracting the SIR is no problem for me.
Nevertheless, I sent in the SIR, and I heard around the forum that this information is shared with the other UCs. All things considered, will my SIR affect my adimission decision?
No, I do not have any official website or contact to back it up. However, I do know that 99.99% of all Cal decisions have been made at this point. I do not believe that they will go back and reject someone for SIRing somewhere else.
Plus, I think there were applicants last year who SIRed somewhere else and then were asking how to revoke that SIR and submit to UCB, meaning their previous SIR had no affect on their acceptance.
