Will my TAG be revoked?

I sent my TAG application to UCSC, with all the classes I'm taking this fall and plan to take next spring.

I'm considering dropping Calculus II however, and retaking it in the spring. (Calc II is not required for admission at UCSC, though it is strongly recommended) If I do this will my TAG be revoked? Can I still get into the school through the normal application process? Honestly, I think it's going to look better to take the W now instead of risk my fall GPA by sticking with the class. (My GPA if I drop Calc II and get A's in all my other classes would be a 3.34) And I plan to apply to UCD and UCSB.

Should I notify the school that I plan to retake it in the spring?

Thanks.

Sorry for the double post, but how many W’s can I have to transfer to a UC? Especially since this W is a pre-req. I already have 1 W for a geography class, will a second one make me look bad?

they don’t care about w’s

Thanks, so what about the TAG? Should I wait until after the TAG has been approved before I drop the class?

Why not email UCSC admissions and ask them about the effect on your TAG app if you drop the class? Seems more reliable than polling anonymous people on the internet…
