Will my UCLA admission be rescinded?

I recently was accepted into UCLA under the Molecular and Cell Developmental Biology major and am currently taking 4 classes, one of them being organic chemistry II. My professor left mid semester and had a substitute for about 5 weeks until our professor came back. In short, it was 5 weeks of hell and I decided to drop rather than receive a failing grade. I checked assit.org for the major and it states that one semester of ochem with lab is fine, but I did put on my application that ochem II was in progress. Would that be a means to revoke my admissions offer since i've taken a W in the course?

Anyone go through the same thing? My acceptances for 2 other UC's are affected by this and i'm just hoping that this one class won't lead to losing my spot for UCLA!

Did you already contact them to let them know of your drop? I’m just gonna say they won’t drop you but they might make you either take it over the summer or come in as a lower level transfer until you finish that course.

you have to let them know ASAP… UCLA is willing to work with people (sometimes). However they will eventually find out… its better to get a rejection earlier… it gives you more time to appeal… however most likely you will be offered a provisional admission (meaning you must pass class in summer with grade of ___ or better).

@onehandedred‌ and @Dagoberto‌ : No, I haven’t contacted them yet. I was looking into CC’s that offer it over the summer but none of them within a 40 mile radius do :frowning:
Would I email admissions directly? Have any of you done something similar? I just want to know the best way to go about it. I really appreciate the help!

It’s in your admission contract to report it. In your UCLA myApplication there’s a tab for Academic Changes. @mari217‌ My admissions has yet to get rescinded :)) I left out a nontrasnferable class that you’re supposed to report. Damn you geology!

Yes report it on myapplication. Also use the comments sectio to explain what happen i think you get 500 word or character’s

@onehandedred‌ @sonic23‌ Thanks, guys! Found the page on myApplication and am just about to submit it!
