It appears that due to some, “unforeseen circumstances”, I will probably be getting a D in AP Physics C and a C in Photography this semester. My overall unweighted will still be above 3.0 because I had all A’s and 1 B (Physics C) first semester, and the rest of my grades are B’s. I’m majoring in Pre-Business Economics, and I’m worried that my admission might get rescinded. Does anyone have any experience or insight on this?
Read your admission offer. I think it says no Ds or Fs.
All you can get from people out here are guesses. Even if the boy down the block from someone’s niece got a D and was ok, that doesn’t mean their circumstances match up with yours.
See if you can do anything to bring up that D. If you can’t then you should let them know as soon as the grade is final. As ucla says

If you get a D, I hope you are still ok. But hope is not a good way to plan for the future. You ought to start thinking about alternate plans, and its better to start now rather than running around in a panic in late June if ucla decides to rescind your offer. . You could go to a CC for 2 years and then xfer to a UC; look into signup deadlines so you don’t miss them. You could retake the class in summer school somewhere (start looking for who offers it now) and then take a gap year. If ucla accepted you thinking you passed all your classes, then it seems likely some uc will take you after a gap year. If you do a gap year it is important not to take any regular-term classes at a CC or the UCs will consider you a xfer student. You could take a gap year and apply for CSU schools.
