Will my UCLA admission be revoked?

Hello. I have been admitted into UCLA as a freshman and I really really really want to go there. I have worked so hard towards it throughout high school but now, I am scared that UCLA will take my admission away from me.

I had a C in AP Calculus AB in the first semester. Most likely, I will get a C for the final semester. I haven't dropped the class though. It's not a D/F or anything and I am still going to take the AP exam. My teacher told me that some of her students have been revoked for a C in AP Calculus so now I am even more worried.

The thing is that I have never received a C on an official report card before. Last semester's C was my very first one. So now, it just looks a decline in grade TToTT And my major is pre business economics...

However, I did receive a B in both semester of my regular math analysis/trigonometry class. So will UCLA take that into consideration? I mean, transitioning from a regular math class with a B to an AP calculus one and still passing? And it's only one C...Well, two if you count the one from last semester and this one. And other than that C, I have straight A's so my GPA is still over a 3.0 and it does not look like I am slacking off because I have other AP classes as well.

I called the office and they told me to send a report...which worries me because if they were sure it would not be a problem, they would have told me that there was no need to report it. So I sent them a report like they told me and now I am just waiting. I'm so scared to see the results.

Can I please get any feedback and comments on this? And for those who have ever sent a report to UCLA, it says within 15 days for a reply, but when did you really get it? Sorry if this was too long... Thank you! :)

Have you read your Freshman Provisional Admission Contract

My daughter’s begins with the following:

“Provisional admission” means that your admission to UCLA will be official only after you have completed the requirements below. If you think you will not be able to meet the provisions of this contract, contact Undergraduate Admissions and Relations with Schools immediately so that we can further advise you. [See below.]

Provisions for Admission

Because your admission has been based on the information you reported in your University of California application and/or by written/verbal communication with our office, we expect that you will do the following:

*

Maintain Academic Performance

Complete your senior year program with the same high standards you have demonstrated thus far. You must complete the senior year academic classes listed on your application with at least a minimum overall unweighted B average. You must notify our office if your grades drop significantly, you receive an excess number of C grades, you receive any D or F grades, or your class schedule changes.

^^ So if yours reads the same (I am not sure since bus/econ majors MAY have a different set of requirements, but I doubt it), you ,are not in violation of your contract, if you maintain 3.0 UW. I think even if you dip slightly bellow, you should be okay, but you would need to fill out that little form again ASAP.

I got accepted in UCLA with mostly borderline Bs (80, 81, 82, 85, 80, 100) in first semester. In Jan/Feb I had lot of absences due to sickness from school and I got 49, 73, 72, 68, 75, 100 in 4th six week. I picked up my grades from 5th six week and got Bs & Cs. In sixth six I got As and high Bs. In 2nd semester exam I am getting As mostly. But due to 4th six week really low grades, my 2nd semester average may have 3 or 4 Cs (79, 78, 79, 78, 85, 100). My overall grades in all subjects are B or above. My 2nd semester GPA will be well above 3.0 as well as overall GPA. I didnt drop any course. I also got few awards in national competitions. Do u think my admission is at risk?

my 1st sem GPA was 3.6, 2nd sem GPA will probably be 3.3 and overall 3.3

@janu, start your own thread. People will start addressing the OP rather than you.
