<p>Anyone out there (rlousine?) know if the new CHC dorms are truly on schedule to open for the fall? I would have thought that since this is a public university you would be able to find updated meeting minutes or updated schedule info for the construction on the web somewhere - nothing on the construction site either. The webcam shows great progress but don't know about construction on the inside.</p>

<p>There are workshops for high school teachers being held this summer. One of the selling points to attract participants is “new air conditioned dorms”. Sounds like the CHS dorms----are there any other “new” dorms with AC?</p>
<p>Current students who will be staying on campus next year have already had the chance to pick their room in the honors dorms, so I would definitely hope they’ll be ready for fall. Otherwise, UMass would have to deal with placing all these students elsewhere (probably not even possible).</p>

The only other on-campus residence with AC is North (the over-priced on-campus apartments).</p>
