As in incoming high school sophomore, I feel that I'm pretty well prepared for the current SAT test, and would prefer to take it late sophomore and early junior year, before the New SAT is introduced in 2016. Do you think colleges will require students take the New SAT once it is available, meaning old SAT scores will not count towards admission? I hope they will continue to count them equally, although that may be difficult.

thanks

I don’t think they will be able to require that you take the new test, but that’s just my opinion. There should be a transition period of a couple years, so those who have taken the old sat can still apply for it, IMO.

Contact admission of your top 5 colleges and ask them directly.
Seems to me they will all use the old test results.
Frankly, I feel sorry for the 2017 class who will be the guinea pig for the new sat.
There is a ton of info of current version SAT online or can be purchased.

Just called Georgetown Admissions. Officer said they’ll continue to accept new and old “for a few years, until everything is worked out.” Sounds like my plan will work
