Will Newhouse be more likely to accept me if I don't apply to CAS?

Is it better to check off that I'd accept admission to Arts & Sciences if I'm not accepted into Newhouse, or will that decrease my chances of getting into Newhouse to begin with? I'd hope to transfer either way...

Check it off!!!
Ok, so the #1 most asked question at the Newhouse Spring Reception table is "I applied to Newhouse and got put in Arts and Science, what do I do?" and we tell everyone that they're in luck, it's very simple. Accept the offer and you can do an in-school transfer at the end of the year. It's much easier than transferring from a different university. Just keep your GPA high.

Newhouse isn't interested in your loyalty. Yes, they say they want to see passion, but that's not the best way to show it. High grades, high scores, great writing skills. They always list those as the most important things on your app.

Btw, great screen name. Good book, huh?
