Will NYU rescind for dropping one course?

I currently have a 47% in Calc AB and I was wondering if I would have my admission revoked if I dropped into an easier level of math. I would still be taking calc, but it would not be AP level. Will NYU rescind?

Doubtful they would rescind but you need to let them know about the change. It’s better than failing.

Thanks! And yeah, I would let them know right away and explain the circumstances.

Nobody here works for NYU admsisions so nobody can give you an answer with 100% certainty. Contact NYU admissions before you drop the course and ask – if they say it is not an issue try to get that in writing. Some colleges will “re-evaluate” an acceptance if a student drops a level.

You need to contact NYU admissions before dropping. as happy1 said, sometimes they’ll re-evaluate if you drop a level.

Certainly dropping a level is preferable to flunking, but best to get your everything in order first.
