I'm applying to UIUC by the 11/1 priority date. I've already sent ACT scores, but I took the test again yesterday. I believe scores are available on 11/8, and if my score improves, I'll have it sent to UIUC. Will UIUC consider it even though it arrives after the priority date?

Try calling the admissions office? I don’t think anyone here will know the answer to that.

It will be considered, but not for priority admissions. If you are accepted during the priority period, it will be because your application was strong enough without the October scores. If you’re deferred, your October scores will be considered. But do call the admissions office for confirmation.

Why don’t you call admissions and post here and then we will know for sure. I would like to know too!

I called the admissions office, and they said if the score gets there before they review my file, it’ll be considered in the priority admissions review; if not, it won’t. They seemed to think there was a decent chance it would get there before they got around to reviewing my file, but it’s obviously not a sure thing.

you should send the scores before you can look at it. that’s th fastest way to get to the scores in the admissions hands. put uiuc as one of 4 free scoree receipients today!

So if the October scores are lower than the one I already sent it won’t have a negative impact? I know they say they’ll only consider the highest composite, but I have a hard time wrapping my mind around that.

That’s correct beth’s mom.
