Will one C in my first semester in Senior year hurt me to ivy leagues and most top-tier colleges?

Just like what the title said. I fricked up really bad during my first semester in my AP Gov and I got a C.
Everything else seems fine to me- all A’s with one B in AP Lang.
Will this hurt my chances of getting into top tier schools?

I have applied to all Ivys, top tier schools, and couple of safety schools (that I really don’t want to go to to be really honest)

I have decent ECs (swam for four years, founded an NGO orchestra to help the poor, etc) –
Pretty sure I have okay essays too & decent recommendation letters.

I have taken extra courses outside of school, and have college credit on IT basics.

I have an ACT score of 33 and (34 if superscored).

I have pretty strong classes too:
AP Lang
AP Gov (the one I did bad in)
AP BC Calc
AP Chem
IT
Business
Orchestra
Study hall (yeah… not a really strong class. BUT)
Spanish III <-- out of school online class

I calculated the projected GPA and it will put me around 3.75 unweighted.
I am just really bad in government & wasn’t really “all in there” whenever I was in class- I just took it to make sure I don’t slack and get awful senioritis… but I did.

Will this hurt my chances a lot? If so, what should I do?

I don’t think colleges even get to see any of your senior grades, especially if you apply early decision.

You got a ‘C’, AND you have study hall in your Senior year?

Colleges can see your first semester grades through your mid-year report, however I don’t think it will be a factor in deciding your admissions decision. They will most likely want to see a final school report in which your offer may be rescinded if this downhill trend continues. Best of luck

It is not inherently disqualifying; it is only one semester in one class.

Make sure you are on track to bring it back up to at least a B for your final grade, though.
