I’m freaking out because we are at the midterms for my classes and I have a C in honors pre calc. I got A’s in every math class before this one, and now I am afraid that I will get a C. I try my hardest in the class and feel really good about the tests/quizzes, but then I get in the low 80’s on every single one. That being said, I have a fairly high C (I have an 83 and an 85 is a B at my high school since we are on the seven point scale) and feel as if I could bring it up. Most people in my class have C’s or D’s so I’m not alone. In the scenario of me getting a C, would this one C ruin my chances for schools like UNC (in-state), UVA, UGA, and UT-Austin? My UW GPA would be around a 3.6 and my weighted around a 4.5. I also go to the best high school in my state.

You won’t be hurting your chances significantly until you’re getting C’s and D’s in multiple classes. Also, pre-calc is really tough. Been there, done that.
Na it’s fine. Colleges realize that some classes are harder than others and won’t mark you down for 1 C. But make sure they don’t end up seeing a string of C’s or else they will start getting worried.
