I've had straight A's until now, I'm a senior and it looks like I'm going to struggle to keep a C in AP Calculus.
I believe the rest of my application is very strong (essay, scores, EC's, valedictorian, etc), but how much will my mid-year grade affect my admission at certain schools?
One Ivy, 5 other high privates, 6 public universities

No. Applications are viewed holistically. One C will not kill your application. If you are declined anywhere, it’s because you weren’t a fit for the school, not because you were a fit for the school but then got a C in AP Calc. Now, if you got 3 C’s, it may be a different story. But one measly C for a valedictorian is not going to put your app in the rejection pile.

Don’t worry about it!
