Hey guys, so after we transfer, will our CCC grades be shown on our brand new UC transcript? Or will it only show grades that we get from 2012 FALL and onward? I heard our GPAs reset after transferring so I was wondering how it works.

Thanks a lot!

Grades will be there but the GPA won’t be counted. However, when you go to graduate school your entire GPA will be counted.

No, they won’t show. It will show the credits earned, but not the grades. When you go to grad school (law school, for example) your cumulative GPA will be given to the schools you apply to.

Oh okay thank you all. So if I took Math 53 in CCC, will it simply say Math 53 (3 units)? Also do you by any chance know if non UC transferable courses are also listed on UC transcripts in any way?

Quick question…I didn’t wanna start an entire thread for this.
Do you have to take 2 college English courses in order to be competitive at all for transfer at a UC?

Roys: Yes, you should. If you follow the IGETC plan of courses for transfer it will state that you need two.

When I transferred to a CCC from Colorado State University, it showed up on my transcript as “Colorado State University Grade= TC (transfer credit), Credits=27”. I would imagine the UC’s are somewhat similar.

@kingdom so instead of displaying all courses you took from Colorado, it just has Colorado state university = 27 credits?

Yeah, just “Colorado State University, TC 27 credits”…didn’t show individual courses or GPA. The UC’s might be different, but this is how transfer credits were reflected for a CCC, anyways.

Oh I see. thanks a lot. I hope the UCs keep it simple that way too…I wonder if there’s anyone who transferred that could answer
