Will Penn State University Park accept me?

Hey guys, so I applied to University Park, and I’m basically just stressing myself out wondering if I’ll get in or not. Here’s some info to help you weigh if I’ll get accepted:

In State
UW GPA:3.65
W GPA: 4.0
SAT score: 1570
AP/IB/Honors courses: 11

I’ve completed an English course at Penn State Mont Alto

President of National Honors Society
Member on the Principal’s “Chairmen”
School’s traditional Color Day Court (voted by classmates)
Homecoming Court (voted by classmates)
Volunteer at the hospital
Volunteer at Vacation Bible School
Community Lunches
Employee at a sporting goods store
Lacrosse
Field Hockey
Wrestling Manager
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (school club)
Varsity Club
Younglife (youth group and camp)
Wackies (youth group and camp)
Campaigners (youth group)

I have 3 recommendation letters. One from my high school’s principal, my lacrosse coach, and a youth group leader.

I wrote my personal statement on how spending my high school study halls helping out in an autistic support classroom has taught me to be a role model in my academics, extra-curricular activities, and character.

My sister goes to Penn State main, and it’s honestly my dream school. I just have a lower SAT and unweighted GPA so I’m so paranoid thinking about if I’ll get in or not. It’s the only school I’ve applied to, and if I don’t have a shot then I need to look into other places. So give me your feedback, and thank you for taking the time!

You should retake the SAT in October (deadline in 4 days) and prep serious. Use Khan Academy videos. You’d need a 1700 to have a real shot. Below 1600 you’re likely to be offered a branch campus. 1570 to 1700 is doable if you prepare seriously. Send your application soon, do the essay, indicate you’re willing to go for summer session, apply undecided, and have your October test score sent to them directly.
