<p>Ok, so I just received a $10k scholarship to Pitt in the mail today (Jan 20). The letter is dated January 9. I was accepted in mid-December, so I've been hoping for a scholarship letter for a month. Three days ago, I began to worry about not receiving a scholarship so I sent Pitt my resume listing my EC's/awards/honors. Before I had only sent my transcript, test scores, and an essay that I didn't use for any other colleges. I'm obviously excited that I've finally got a scholarship, but do you think that the scholarship committee will receive resume and possibly reevaluate my scholarship offer and hopefully bump it up? Or does Pitt mainly look at test scores and grades? I have pretty good test scores, my GPA isn't super high, but I have a few good extra curricular activities and I don't want to them to be overlooked. Basically, I'm just trying to figure out if I sorta screwed my chances of receiving a larger scholarship by not sending in a resume along with all of my other stuff. Thanks</p>
<p>They say they do but I really doubt it. Its all in the SAT I believe. Anything over 1500 you will prob get a scholarship, granted you don’t live in PA</p>

<p>Not really. Scholarships are given out mostly based on merit. The OOS ones also consider demographics (male/female, ethnicity, state you’re from, etc.) But your ECs aren’t really part of the scholarship criteria, that’s more for admissions.</p>
<p>Also, the fact that you heard back mid-December means that, by that point, most of the big scholarships were already gone (aka full-tuition). Those tend to be mostly gone by November or December. Half tuition runs for a few months (until February or early March) and then that’s normally it I think.</p>
