Will Regents scores help?

Are Regents scores evaluated during the acceptance process? Are they even looked at?

Well at my school they were listed on my transcript, so I'm sure they help if you do really well on them.

yes, regents scores are looked at because they are listed on your transcript.

No. Unless you go to a SUNY school. Then maybe. Or unless you ridiculously bomb one for some reason. Then maybe, but i'm not an adcom. And still, i think they won't count.

Considering the large number of students from NY that apply to many of the select NE schools (my d attends a school where the largest number of students in her class are from NY with the majority of those students are from NYC), I do think the regents scores are looked at because they are state exams and they help put the class room grades in context especially when it comes to things such as grade inflation/deflation at some public schools. I remember the adcom at columbia saying that they definitely look at them.

Does PSU look at them?

Regents count as finals in my school so for me they're a part of my GPA. 1/5th of my grade actually for my regents classes.

I know some one with a 66, 79,89 or something on a regents who got into columbia, and someone with 95+ who was rejected from columbia and NYU.
