Will relatively lackluster SAT essay scores hurt me?

Ok, so similar to the topic of another thread on here, I have a discrepancy between my SAT score and my essay score. On my first test I got a 2230 with 79 writing MC but a 7 essay. On my second test, I got a 2360 with writing 80 MC but an 8 essay (I swore I did a lot better than this).

As you can see, my essay scores aren't very spectacular, but my overall scores are good.

Now the thing I'm worried about is that colleges will see the mediocre essay scores I received both times and ask "what's up with this kid's writing ability?"

I'm not a bad writer by any means- however it seems I do not perform too well at timed writings, at least not on these two occasions. My common sense tells me that colleges won't take the SAT essay into consideration much. However, i'd like thoughts from members of this board. I'd hate to have to retake a 2360.
