Many of my transfer friends have told me it’s NOTHING like their previous orientations. just come in with an open mind and be prepared to have fun, be crazy, and get a great introduction to Rice and the residential college system.

The week is full of intense college pride so don’t be offended if people from other colleges are really into their own O-Weeks and not so into branching out quite yet (they’re usually just too intimidated to). After O-Week ends, people are really open to making new friends, specifically through classes and extracurricular activities. If you want to make friends from other colleges you will definitely get a chance to, after O-Week.
