<p>Yeah, but if this is your last chance at a score you want, it’s definitely important. Not saying it’s lifechanging, but it does matter to a lot of people.</p>

<p>what do you mean by permanent part of one’s record? they’re pretty much exactly the same, and they are viewed exactly the same by colleges.</p>

<p>What I meant was that for the SAT, colleges HAVE TO see your score on a particular date. On the SAT/SAT II’s, everything shows up. You can’t just pick and choose which test you want to send, unlike the ACT.</p>
<p>ahh, good point. my ACT definitely trumps my SAT now; I guess it does suck that they have to see my SAT I scores when I send my subject tests.</p>
