So, I'm using the Common App and you know how there the page for standardized test scores? I'm only sending my ACT score to NYU, and maybe my Dec Math Level 2 SAT II if I did well. Should I list all my SAT II scores? Most of them are lower/mid-600s (three in the 500s, which I wasn't going to list anyway), with the only one above 700 being Math Level 1 (720). Also, my AP World History score is a 3. I don't even want to list these if I don't have to because I'm afraid they will hurt me. BUT, they're listed on my transcript anyway though.
What should I do? I'm applying to Stern.

The forums at NYU answer this question by saying “send all scores”, and that they’ll sort them. FWIW.

But I’m applying with my ACT. If I send in a SAT II score, shouldn’t I just send in all scores from that single test, and not send the rest? I might not even send one.

I think your options are:
a) Send ACT score only.
b) Send ACT score plus all SAT II scores.
NYU doesn’t want you to use score choice; they kind of do score choice themselves–they pick the highest for you. I don’t think a 3 on an AP will kill you, but 500s on multiple SAT IIs probably doesn’t look too good for Stern. And your only 700+ was in Math Level 1…and I think Stern prefers Level 2.

my 510 was on Math Level 1 when I took it as a frosh when I wasn’t ready, and my 560 and 580 were on US History, which I don’t really understand because my teacher was horrible and self studying didn’t do much.

My highest Math Level 2 is 640. I’m still waiting for my Dec scores.

When NYU says send all score regarding SAT II’s, do they literally mean send all scores even from exams you don’t want to see or just send all the scores from the individual exams I want them to consider?

See, I have taken 5 different SAT II’s, for a total of 11 times all together. I only want NYU to look at two subjects, but I will send them all scores from those two subjects.

Do whichever. Do whatever makes YOU most comfortable. They allow score choice. You don’t HAVE to send anything extra…just some combination of what THEY require. The reason I said “send all scores” is that they insist they’ll sort them for you and consider the top. And the reason I think that can be important is because…how can you/I/we determine what is “best”, as far as NYU is concerned? I know there are comparison charts SAT to ACT. But even those vary. Then, when you add the fact you might be sending SAT IIs, and/or APs…it’s just so confusing to know what is actually the best combination. But, by all means…send whatever you like. In their attempt to make it broad, I think they’ve made it harder…because no one knows what is their best combination. THAT is why my D “sent all”. I guess if there was a glaring problem and it was easy to leave it off I would (let’s sayone has 750/750…and 600). But you need to send what you’re comfortable with. Put your best foot forward. That’s all you can do at this point. And then…“hang on” for the next few months like everyone else and try not to second guess yourself. Good luck.

I just sent my 720 Math Level 1, and my 750 Math Level 2. I don’t see the point in sending Chem, Bio, US History, and other math scores that range from 580 to 640, all of which are just low for NYU (maybe not some other schools).

I think you made the correct decision, Ohboi.

are subject tests mandatory? i’m taking SAT for first time this spring, and i’m not sure if i want to take them

Only if you send in the SAT Reasoning do you need to send two SAT Subject Tests. Even then, you may send in two AP scores with the SAT instead of the two Subject Tests.
As an alternative, you may send in just the ACT w/ writing, three SAT Subject Tests, or three AP scores.
