With less than a month until M10, and AOs still viewing many applications every day, will it make a difference if I send an email updating them on my school and extracurricular activities? I’m feeling a little anxious about things I could be doing to help my applications…like sending emails…but every time I open Outlook I’m too nervous to write anything
I would take a look at this thread: Should I submit extras?
Unless if it’s something exceptional (Going to Carnegie Hall, ranking top 5 in some national contest, etc.), then I wouldn’t bother. What specifically are you planning to update them on?
I was a part of my school’s virtual musical, and I was planning on sending information and clips of that. I was also planning on speaking about my continued involvement in clubs, like writing for the school newspaper and magazine officially and participating in Debate and other competitions.
Personally, I wouldn’t email them. M10 is only 19 days away, and I don’t think submitting these things will make much difference. The AO’s are very busy right now, and I don’t think it’d be worth it to bother the AO’s with this. Trust that your application has enough information. Of course, it’s your choice! Do what you think is best! Best of luck to you on M10!!
I agree with Jasmino. The things you listed are not going to put you over the edge in terms of admission, so I fear you’d be wasting the AOs time during their busiest period.
