will senior grades count?

Can someone answer this one question. I know colleges look at senior grades, AKA the mid-year report, to see if your getting anything below Ds/Fs, in which case your admission may be rescinded.

NOW FOR THE BIG QUESTION: Do your senior grades actually matter TO GET IN? For example, they say for grades they only look at soph/junior year grades (well, many colleges do),and so, if you're passing ALL your difficult, senior-year courses, but not getting great grades (AKA all As, or all As and a few Bs), will that count AGAINST you ? or are senior year grades used exclusively to see ONLY that 1) u have a difficult courseload and 2) you're passing everything ???

Um, senior year grades dont matter much- colleges only see what classes you're currently enrolled in (the tougher, the better).

Um, even if you get one D admissions are rarely rescinded. It's like a stranger giving you the finger as he walks by. you'd be like "***? why'd he do that". Colleges hardly rescind unless theree's a major reason- ur grades are like C/C/D/D/F suddenly (we're talking top colleges here) or it looks like u might not graduate.

1 + 2 >>> yes, basically. BTW this answer should not be used as ur ticket to go brain dead / booze up senior year. No point. Wait till last 2-3 months for that it'll come naturally. :D

I'm interested in this too

No, not unless the school requests your midyear report.

on the application do they ask u for ur senior classes?

YES senior classes and grades are very important. Colleges do NOT want to see you slacking off. They really do care about your senior grades. But they don't really care about grades after mid-year...once you get your mid-year report out of the way, straight Bs would keep you sailing.

they dont necessarily count for admissions, depending on the college
they just check what ur taking and see if its just as challenging, if not more, than ur junior year, and they look at your grades to make sure u dont have senioritis

How about for University of California GPA? I read that they only count 10th 11th grade, but if they get your mid year grades in January from your high school, will they count that in their UC GPA? Or will they just see what classes I am taking to make sure everything is ok?
