Will standard classes hold me back?

If I take trigonometry as an online course would that help my chances to get into top schools? At first, I thought it would, but I was worried they might think the class wasn't tough enough. I am a high school sophomore, and I am in geometry. I'm afraid if I don't step up, I can't be taking the most rigorous classes possible. Plus, I am pretty good at math in the first place. Also, in senior year what are good Social Studies classes? I'm taking AP World History and I'm heading towards APUSH, but there are no AP classes after that. Can I suggest an AP class for senior year? And which one?

The admission officials look if you had taken or taking the most rigorous curriculum offered at YOUR school. So, don’t bother. If you take extra classes outside your school, you may have a positive go on your application…Take all the AP classes offered at your school

Well, the classes are offered at my school but I am not programmed for them I could be if I take the outside courses. So if I take trig during geometry (which is fine because I have a good basis in geometry) I can take calculus next year if I can pass the trig test.

And I can’t take every AP at my school, even though I’m wondering if I should take a summer course in Physics or something so I can take two science APs instead of one…

Well then, if you are really good in geometry, then go for the trig class. And I also recommend that summer course which helps you take an additional AP. You can also put that summer course in your college application; it helps. Take every chance to make yourself prepared to enter top-notch colleges.

What kind of summer courses?

I actually never took geometry (the class) before, but I passed the required test by self-studying. I need the class credits (and a higher grade on the test), so I am taking geometry now. I’ve gone over the coursework, though.
