Will studying for the SAT Math level 2 also help me for regular SAT math?

I'am getting the Barrons Math Level 2 book in 3 days, and was planning on using it to study till November for when I take the actual test. Also I am retaking the SAT reasoning test in October and have been studying from the Blue Book. Right now I am up to practice test 5. Anyways will studying from the barrons math lvl. 2 book help with the sat reasoning math sections? I'm scoring 660-700 constantly on the BB tests from the math sections by the way.

No, not really.

No because the questions on the Math level 2 are years ahead of those on the SAT I math.

The only good thing is that you’re constantly doing math questions. THAT will help for sat math

Content wise, no. Strategy wise, possibly, but thats up to the user of the book. I’m not sure how much the level 2 math books touch on problem solving methods though

If you are implementing SAT specific strategies as you study, then studying for either test will help with the other. I always suggest that my students take the SAT and SAT Subject test 1 month apart because if you’re studying right, then there is a lot of overlap.

Keep in mind that when I tutor I focus on strategy, not mathematics. I do tend to wind up reviewing a substantial amount of mathematics when preparing students for the Subject tests, but this is NOT the primary focus (with the exception of very weak students, there is almost no review of mathematics for the SAT Reasoning Test).

SAT IIC focuses on upper-level math, like algebra II, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and functions. The level of SAT I math is quite low, not passing basic algebra II, although it requires you to perhaps think a bit more…
To answer your question, studying for SAT IIC will not directly help you with the math on the SAT I, although it may make you better at taking tests.
