I am currently a high school student set to go into 10th grade this upcoming fall. Last year (9th grade), I took algebra 2. Over summer, I am currently taking Precalculus in a summer course outside of my high school. I initially intended to accelerate into Calculus AB, but decided against it and am instead taking Honors Precalculus this upcoming fall. After making the decision that I was not going to accelerate halfway through my Precalc course, I did not take the course too seriously, since it did not have any immediate impact on me (I was going to take the same course in the fall anyway). As a result, my grade in the summer class dropped quite a bit. My counselor said the only way this course will go on my official high school transcript would be if I submitted my summer course transcript to my high school’s office (which I obviously will not be doing). I was wondering whether there is any way any colleges I apply to in the future will see this course grade if it is not on any high school transcript. Will I be forced to submit the summer course transcript even though it is not part of my high school? Thanks.
Where did you take the class? If it was through a CC you are required to submit all your transcripts when applying to colleges.
You have to submit all transcripts to college including ones from classes taken outside of your HS.
