I am taking the minimum 13 units with the following classes:
Anthro 2AC (4 units)
Math 1B (4 units)
Chem 1A (4 units)
Freshman seminar on natural resources (1 unit)

probably not. if you got some ap credit then you're fine. even without ap credit it's fine. i sink.

that's okay. a little on the light side, but definitely not out of the ordinary for first semester freshman. if you're iffy about taking more units, it's fine to skimp only for the first semester; best to step up in the following semesters, as you should be taking ~15 a semester to be on "normal progress." btw, anthro2ac is a breeze. i heard it's with lightfoot this semester?

yes it is. i heard he's a really good teacher. i really want to find another class, but i can't find anything that fits my schedule and also covers a breadth requirement.

also, open 3 unit classes have been pretty hard to find.

i have a good amount of AP credits i guess: AP stats, AP calc a/b, AP gov, AP us history, AP english, AP physics.

what i like to think is that I'm gonna be taking 15~16 units in the future anyways. You'll make up for those 2 less units in sometime or another. While taking 15 units may get you acquainted with the workload, I think taking a little less as a freshman is gonna be worth it. (Especially since you're taking 1B and I'm only taking 1A for math)
