Will taking Solidworks on top of AutoCAD classes give me a good edge on my transfer application?

All of my classes in the Spring are conveniently scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays (statics, spanish, autocad). Taking Solidworks would force me to come in four times a week instead of half that. Is it worth driving to at around 4pm? I am already taking two semesters of AutoCAD, which cover 2D and 3D. The colleges I want to transfer to only require AutoCAD but I’m wondering if taking a semester of Solidworks in addition to that will mean the difference of acceptance.

I should prob specify that this is for mechanical engineering

I can’t imagine that it would. Having both is helpful for work but academically what makes a difference is a really good handle on one CAD tool. Tbh, most folks can learn one and then “pick up” the other without needing full instruction.
