Will taking the Nov SAT be too late for the score to be received & evaluated by admission office?

I wanted to sit in the November SAT because I wanted more time for prep. Yale’s website recommends the October SAT for SCEA. But also says that I can take the November SAT if I want. But the score from the November SAT might or might not reach in time for evaluation. The Nov score releases on Nov 24. Given that it will be more than three weeks from the SCEA deadline of Nov 1 and also somewhat close to the decision date, should I risk taking the SAT in Nov?

You need to do a closer-reading of Yale’s website, as they do MORE than recommend the October SAT for SCEA. http://admissions.yale.edu/standardized-testing

My reading of the above leads me to this conclusion: If you are applying SCEA and taking the November SAT test, your application will be reviewed using SAT tests from previous dates. If you haven’t submitted test scores from previous dates, your application will be considered INCOMPLETE until the November test date arrives. As such, that is cutting it too close. I would take the October SAT if you are applying SCEA.
