Hi. I spent one month of 2013 summer working in the USA. Right now I'm filling out FAFSA and CSS profile. Will $600 income from that summer job affect either FAFSA or CSS results?

Also I know that I don't have to file tax return because of such a low income. I selected option that I will not file tax return both in FAFSA and CSS. Should I even report that $600 somewhere? And if yes, should I report it as a normal income from wages/salaries or as an untaxed income?

Thank You.

please guys. I need your help

I assume you are a US citizen.

It is normal income. Untaxed income usually refers to tax exempt income such as tax exempt bond interest, Roth distribution, etc.

I know the CSS Profile has a section for student income. I assume that FAFSA also ask for it. You will need to report it. $600 student income should have no effect on FA. Once you make a certain amount as a student (other can chime in with numbers), student income can have a significant impact.
