Will the AP Biology exam be harder this year?

What do you think? And does anyone have any essay predictions?

Considering how ridiculously easy last year's exam was, I wouldn't be surprised if this year's is harder.

oh ****.. then im fudged... if its really hard. i hope its easy and i think one of the essays might be cell respiration.

The harder it is, the less you have to get right. Duh.... Seriously, every year is the same in difficulty, because they change the curve.

Speaking of the curve--does anyone know what the raw points ranges are like for Bio? I know to get a 5 in Chem it was around 115/150 (I think--don't quote me on that) raw points, and for Calc AB it's around 75/120.

And is there any place where I could find that information? I know the curves/ranges change every year, but there must be a rough estimate/average somewhere...

Didn't they change the AP Bio exam this year? Aren't there fewer questions than last year now? Anyways, this is from CliffsAP 2001:

94-150: 5
73-93: 4
54-72: 3
34-53: 2
0-33: 1

Multiple your multiple choice score (after subtracting for those that you got wrong) by .75. Multiply your FRQ by 1.5. Add the two together.

it was harder.

^^ agreed.

MC was easy, essays were hard.

I second that.

^^ I, erm, third it?

yeah. those frq were insane.....

woww, i heard this year's exam was sooo much harder than last year's. I took last year's which was sooooooooooooooooo easy. i feel sorry for this year people.

But since it was hard then the curve should be nice?

"^^ I, erm, third it?"

I fourth that, then.

Overall, I think I got a five though. I hope the curve is kind too. :D

Do you think there's any way that they'll like throwout an essay question or make the curve lower and out of less questions if say 95% of people didn't get it right? (I know one MC question was thrown out last year due to a statistical error but I'm not sure what that means.)

Eh, one can dream.
