Carin congratulation on your amazing score. Please though don’t belittle me. It takes all sorts to make the world go round.

To be intelligent but not have any people skills can only get you so far. Please remember that those on the other side of the screen do have feelings and that just because you can put someone down you shouldn’t.

Julliet, that was an excellent post. Should be plastered all over this site.

When I first found this forum I was shocked to see kids with 1900 and up crying and whining about their scores. Or having a 95 GPA and being told they aren’t good students. And then kids who cured cancer and world hunger being told that their EC’s sucked.

Which is unfortunate, because there is tons of amazing help to be had on this forum. It just seems like the braggy and whiny people stand out more. I am not sure why this place attracts so many of the overly cocky type. Just because you have higher SAT scores than someone does not mean you are smarter. 700 IS a great score, despite what some people might have you believe. Some of the things here are greatly over exaggerated. But CC is still a great place, you just have to find the good posters.

That said, my scores are:

Writing - 620
Reading - 600
Math - 490

I’m not a math guy, at all. I want to major in Journalism. All I do is write <_<. Math bores me and I take no interest in it. I’ve done well in all my math classes. But once it comes to SAT or NY regents math… I fail.

SAT 2’s - Literature was a 580, History was a 560. I was shocked at my history score, I knew every question on there (well, I guess not eh? <_<).

I’m shooting for Syracuse, SUNY New Paltz and SUNY Oswego as my main school. Boston University and Northeastern are reaches for me. My GPA is good and my EC’s are outstanding. I have a friend from my school who got into Syracuse with scores VERY similiar to mine. In fact, his SAT 2’s were worse and his SAT was only 40 points higher. His GPA was only an 87 weighted and his EC’s were good. Granted, my school has a very good relationship with Syrcause. But don’t let scores dictate everything. We’ll all be fine.

I just hate SAT2’s, I’m generally a bad test taker that can’t sit and focus for 3 hours. Oh well, good luck to all of us “average kids!”

i’ll post my sub par 720 on sat physics here -_-

Im juzz playin<3
Any 700 is impressive for about 90% of schools which is fantastic.

anyone have some clues about my CR? all 've been hearing is to read more…but that doesnt really help since im kind of time crunched…

I consider myself average.

I got a 1950
620 R 690 M 640 W

Essay 9

Anything over 1800 is considered very very good at D’s school.
The national average is around 1500.
Many of you who think your scores are mediocre are actually well above average. Don’t get me wrong, I love CC and have learned a lot here, but the test scores and grades of many posters here are in a different world. Here, kids (and, alas, some parents) are upset and disappointed over scores that would make most of us very happy.

I can’t even convince my D to take the SAT. Her PSAT was 187, ACT 29 - lousy math scores pull down both, but it’s only 1/4 of the ACT score, and many colleges don’t even look at the SAT writing component. Still think she should try, though.
