Will the two B's I earned in freshmen year matter?

Hey

So I will be graduating high school this year with:

4.78 weighted GPA
3.98 unweighted GPA
2300 SAT Score
800 on SAT Math 1 and 2 Subject Test
740 on SAT Spanish Subject Test
800 on SAT Biology Subject Test
750 on SAT Chemistry Subject Test
780 on SAT Physics Subject Test
34 on ACT and Writing

Throughout high school, I had all A's except Honors World History and AP Computer Science (where I had B's in both), and an A- in Honors English. These grades were all in freshmen year.

Sophomore, Junior and Senior years, I had straight A's and A+'s

I would take every AP and honors class that I could except physical education and Spanish.

By the way, these are these are the AP tests I took: (I got a 4 or 5 on all of these)

• AP Computer Science
• AP World History
• AP European History
• AP English 3
• AP English 4
• AP Calculus BC
• AP US History
• AP Chemistry
• AP Spanish
• AP Macroeconomics / AP Microeconomics
• AP Environmental Science
• AP Statistics
• AP Physics

These are the clubs and sports I have taken throughout high school:

• Math Team
• Business Professionals of America
• Scholastic Bowl
• Rocketry
• Model UN
• Tennis

It has always been my dream to go to schools such as MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, or University of Pennsylvania? I would also be satisfied with University of Chicago.

Would admission officers select me even though I had two B's and 1 A- in Freshmen year? Will those freshmen grades create an obstacle for me to get into my dream schools?

Any response will me appreciated! Thanks!

No. The difference between a 4.0 and a 3.98 or whatever you have is negligible. I would guarantee that your admission to those schools should not hinge on that. That being said, there’s still a good chance you wont get into any of those schools, but it wont be the Bs that did it.

You got two B’s your freshman year? You’re never going to make it college, you should just drop out of high school.

Even though I am Indian?

He’s being sarcastic, ignore him. To answe your question, no colleges will not scrutinize your slightly lower GPA. As long as you’re in the Top 10% of your class, you’re fine. But keep in mind these schools require you to take I believe at least 2 years of a foreign language.

Yeah, I already completed 5 years so far, so I think I am good

Don’t worry about it.
