On my application, I had put down that I will take FOUR AP exams in May. I also put down that I will be taking four courses as well with APEX Learning (Online AP course provider). In the country I’m living in, there’s only one AP test center (this private school) and they did not allow me to take the exams in May. This really discouraged me from taking the four AP courses because the only reason I had taken them in the first place was because I wanted the college credit. My school is a British Curriculum-based school and doesn’t offer AP courses. I’ve replaced those AP courses with equally-difficult ones that are offered at my school instead. The only problem is that I still did not notify the UC’s and the decisions are coming. I’m so nervous that they will rescind whatever acceptance I get that I can barely sleep at night. I will not be taking the AP exams I planned and on top of that, I’ve replaced those courses.
