Will the Wash U people know that we submitted a scholarship?

Like I did the Danforth, so like will they read those essays as well? I think that'd be awesome, so I was just wondering!

Yes, WashU is aware of merit applications.

Ok cool, so like will that show them that you "expressed more interest." Does that help your WashU app.?!?!

I think it does......I'm not completely sure though.

Helicio - It is one of the best ways to show serious interest in WashU. In many ways it is a double win. First it shows considerable interest in WashU, since you made an extra effort. Second it can be a financial bonanza if you are awarded a scholarship. Also remember that many of the Merit Scholars programs offer a lot more than just the money. They offer a peer support group, priority registration, additional advisors, research opportunities, orientation programs and a variety of seminars and other programs during the year. For the little bit of extra work required, they are well worth the investment in time.
