Will these colleges accept me?

Hello, all,

I am a student at SunyDutchess in upstate NY currently. I have a 2.7 gpa and i'm looking to boost it to a 3.0 after completion of the Spring 2013 semester. I would like to be admitted to my next school for the Fall 2013 semester. I am interested in pursuing dietetics to eventually become a registered dietician, although i'm currently enrolled in the business program at Dutchess. I have the University of New Haven on my radar right now as my number 1 choice. It used to be SunyOneonta but i've been told by many advisors at SunyDutchess that Oneonta will be difficult to be admitted to, due to my GPA and past track record(I did poorly when i first got to school in 2007 and then took some time away. Came back and have been doing well since after re-taking some classes i really messed up in.) I currently have about 60 credits completed, but no science prerequisites. Will not having these prerequisites lower my chances of being admitted into this type of program? My questions basically are, do you think I can get admitted to SunyOneonta with my borderline GPA? How do you feel about my chances of being admitted to the University of New Haven? I did speak with New Haven admissions actually and they said not having science prerequisites will have no bearing on if i'm admitted or not. Great news! Last but not least are there any other schools anyone would suggest for that program that's within 3 hours of my town of Poughkeepsie, NY. Thanks for the feedback!!
