Will these scores kill me?:(((((((((((((((

Hello,
I am an international applicant from Armenia. My credentials are good(though I would not like to say it about myself, however) but my scores are not very high. I have taken the SAT subject tests and did well, hopefully will get above 700s. But I simply cannot get my SAT Reasoning scores in each section above 700, it is stuck in mid to high 600s. I would like to know if this would be a BIG disadvantage. I am applying to Dartmouth ED, they say they take into account that English is not the first language for many internationals. But I am still worried. I am taking the test in November, do u think I could raise it by then? Other places I will be applying to(but hopefully will not HAVE to) are Princeton, Yale, Amherst, Williams, Bates.

Thanks a lot everyone.Look forward to advice!!!!!

Yes, that will hurt. Especially as an international student. Study like crazy for November, you can definitely learn the writing rules by then and get a 700+ and same with math, for those 2 you just need to memorize the rules.

Being an international student is very tough. If you can pay, some smaller LACs will be more likely to admit you. But, you do have some tough competition. It’ll hurt especially for Dartmouth, as they’re VERY score-centric. Also, I’d add some safties to your list.

With a little prep though, I’m sure you can raise that score!

Thanks a lot. I AM working hard, really. But even if I have other hooks(4.92 GPA, a full time actress, from Armenia, and hardly anyone applies from here, worked two summers in the USA;and I do not know if it is a hook or not, but from a disadvantaged background,…) do you still think it will hurt me A LOT?
Thanks

yes these scores will hunt you down while you’re sleeping and rip your guts out, therefore killing you

I believe Bates is SAT-optional.

Verry funny Djekovic, hahahaha
