I want to transfer to five schools for the fall semester, but two of the schools have an application deadline of MARCH 1ST
I only finished my first semester, I want to also send my second semester grades but i receive the second semester grades on MAY 15.
The other schools I am applying to have a deadline for JUNE and JULY this is fine because I will have my second semester grades by then, I can get an early start on my essay now and get my high school transcript ready and then when my second semester grades pop up I can apply ASAP.
But for the schools that have a deadline for MARCH what do I do? I wont have my second semester grades yet. What can I do? If I still apply will they check my Second semester grades at the College I am currently at once the scores come out? Or will they only check my First semester grades? I understand that there is usually a long wait until they decide so I figured that would be perfect because my Second semester grades would be ready, but I do not know if they would be able to or would check that… Please help me dear god this is putting me over the edge…
For those schools you need apply as if they will not check those grades. It is likely that they will make their decisions before you finish the Spring term. If you have not heard from them by the, you can submit the new transcript There is really no point in worrying about it, there is nothing you can do if you wish to apply to those schools.
I have a similar question (which I might create my own thread on later), and it is when transferring after one year, and the deadline is before grades are given out, does that credit count towards a requirement? For example, if a university says that they won’t look at your high school grades if you have 24 college credit hours, and you are applying in your Freshman year (in like February), do you need to have completed all 24+ credit hours to have your high school GPA not looked at? Sorry if I rambled I just don’t know how to explain this.
I suppose that it may vary but completed 24 credits means that these courses cannot be in progress. However, takea look and see if your target schools have rolling admission for transfer students. If so you might be able to apply after you get your second semester grades.
