Will they find this odd??

Do u think Adcoms will give thought to the fact that I have an American name, but am in fact adopted from Korea? Do I need to say that I'm adopted or is that implied? what do you think?

i think it says on applications if u have a different name ur called by or something, like if you have multiple names,

You should definitely mention somewhere that you are adopted.

Why does it matter that you're adopted?

If you're talking about race, just fill in Korean. They'll figure it out.

I don't see how a name would make any sort of difference, check the box that you're asian or korean or whatever the box says, and maybe in an essay refer to being adopted, but your name shouldn't make any difference at all.

I'm thinking that it could be construed as a mistake or just plain confusing... where should i mention this?

I doubt it'll make a bit of difference, it's not like if I'm white and was named (I'm not even gonna try to come up with a korean name cause I have a feeling I'd innadvertantly be highly offensive) that they'll treat me differently, a name doesn't imply race at all.

Mentioning that you're adopted would go well with an essay topic though, maybe the diversity and experience in your life and that kind of stuff, I don't know what the essay topics are, but I'm sure somewhere you can work that in.

Yea for one I'm saying that my adoption is my drive b/c i take advantage of what i've been given

you're fine, they shouldn't bat an eye. Even if they wanted to check up on it I'm assuming it's all legit so you got nothing to worry about.
