TEAMS engineering team in the state and 4th in the nation. Otherwise my extra-curricular activities aren't spectacular but have been time-consuming.

I plan on taking these courses next year:

University of Delaware's Calculus 3
Drexel University's Intro to the Art of Engineering

I think you have a good shot, but you may want to retake the SAT to up your writing score. Your AP scores (5 BC Calc and 5 AP Chem) are extremely impressive if you've already got them (hence, taken already in soph. year) , and will be impressive if you're making predictions and have taken them in junior year. Good luck

Yeah you said it that SAT writing score is skewed from the rest. what's your class rank btw?

I'd say top 15%. My school is very competitive and does not release class rank. It does however show the percentage of students that have achieved higher than a weighted 4.0 and so on. Thanks for your comments. Yeah, I'm a terrible writer. Grammar is not my thing.

If you're not good at writing, start writing your essay now on a topic that you know well/means a lot to you and start having people look over it so that by the time the application deadline comes around you have a finished product to be proud of.

That's some excellent advice. It's not that I'm a bad writer, I just need time to write well. I recieved an 8 on the essay portion of the writing and a 64/80 on the multiple choice. I'm not good at grammar.

Other than the poor writing portion of the SAT, do you think I can get into a school as prestigious as Duke?

Maybe. I hate to say it - but everyone who applies to Pratt is like you. And what are you SATIIs? Aren't you class of 2006 - you'll need to take the new SAT, right?

Take the SATII Writing again - you got a 730 on the SATI Reading, so yo u have it in you to do better.

I'm planning on taking the Math II and Chemistry SATII's on June 4th. Previously I didn't really want to sit through the SAT I's again but you've convinced me. Thanks for the feedback.
