Will this adversely affect me?

Alright so all of my applications were complete back in January except for midyear reports because my first semester extends until the beginning of February. I handed in all midyear documents to my guidance department and I just found out today that my school didn't send it out until February 28th. So today I called Wash U and they told me that they had not yet received my midyear report, so I had my school immediately fax my midyear report to Wash U. I really love Wash U, it is one of my top choices. Will this make me seem disinterested or affect me adversely in any way?

It will not affect your chances at all. You are not the only one to have your midyear report sent/arrive late. Most schools are very understanding that it is up to the schools and that the students have little or no control over the process of sending them out. And frankly, the midyear reports mean very, very little in the scheme of things in your entire application. That's not to say that you can slack off significantly without it affecting you, but they have a more wholisitc view of applicants than a half a year's worth of grades. So, the net of it is, you're fine.

I wouldn't worry about it... I know for people on a trimester system, most JUST finished second trimester last friday, so their grades are just being sent out... you'll be fine :)
