<p>I had my AP English teacher do my rec even though I plan to go into a scientific field. I felt as if she had the greatest measure of my ability, so I had her do my rec instead of one of my science teachers. Will this affect my chances?</p>
<p>I don’t think that would hurt you. If you plan to go into a science field, you may want one of your letters to come from a math/science teacher who can vouch for your science abilities, but if you have an english teacher who’s going to rave about you, it can only help.</p>
