Will this be trouble?

I might have a problem. I'm a junior, and my E.C.s up to this point are as follows:

Cross Country- 9,10,11
Indoor Track- 10,11
Outdoor Track- 10,11
It's Academic Co-captain- 11
NHS Treasurer- 11
Maryland Math League School Champion- 9,10,11
Theatre- 9
Marching Band- 9,10,11

I plan to continue with all the running, it's academic, NHS and math league, but I can't do marching band next year. I'm not allowed to, because I won't be enrolled in a band class. If I send colleges a note regarding this, do you think it will still be seen as an issue? Thanks.

I dont think it'll be an issue,You might have too many ECs as it is, guessing that you have a ton of community based ones ECs also?

No, thats prety much it. The running takes tons of time.

b.u.m.p...

In highschool, the idea is that you grow and change, and if running is taking more and more time, something else goes...that is normal

relax

i think ur crazy cause u got a lot of good ec's. What the hell is with some people? They think they never do enough, when they do a lot.

I barely did any ec's and still got into a good college.

THIS PROVES THAT THIS POSTER ONLY CARES ABOUT DOING EC'S FOR GETTING INTO COLLEGE.

Shame on you.

Well, I mean, if its going to be a problem, than I'll try to do it. I don't want to apply somewhere and get rejected because I stopped taking band. Band was fun the first two years, last year, not so much. I don't like it anymore, but I will try to make some deal with the band directors to cintinue if I have to.
I don't think I will though. Cross Country is also going to be busy next year; no Band will help

Thanks for all the postings.

Colleges recognize sports are a big committment, especially if you are dedicated (which you appear to be).

I don't think they'd reject you for stopping band.
