Will this essay admit me to CU?

how do you think you could enrich our diverse and inclusive community, and what are your hopes for your college experience?

In my life diversity has always been very prominent. Going to ethnic, religious and racially diverse schools have taught me one thing: to treat those around you with respect, no matter the circumstances. I seek only a community that accepts others for who they are, and expect nothing less. As many students at CU I recognize all people, no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, socio economic background, age etc. By building a university of aware students I believe that we can not only better the community, but slowly better the world.

I have many high hopes for my college experience. I expect the college I attend to be able to permit a admiral experience that will allow me to indulge my two divergent interests: communication and journalism. I have learned a great deal about myself in high school but the most crucial things I have learned are my strengths and weaknesses. Lucky for me my strengths and my interests align. I cannot wait to emerge myself in my interests. I’m aware that CU had amazing academic programs in both of these subjects. So I know the support I will get in pursuing my interests will be immense.

Not only does CU associate with what I’m looking for academically, but it strives in all of my other needs. When I last visited I learned about all of the wonderful programs that CU offers. It has been one of my dreams to one day study abroad. It came to my attention that CU had many study abroad programs, I cant wait to learn more about these programs and hopefully find myself studying in another country in approaching years. I am also eager to take advantage of all of the clubs and student involvement CU has to offer. The outreach program as well as programs surrounding my intended majors look like great way to get involved with the community.

Boulder already feels like home. I’ve been lucky enough to live in this colorful state we call Colorado all my life. I have also been fortunate to travel a bit in my time, although there are so many beautiful places to live and grow up, I’ve never been happier anywhere than when I am in Boulder. There is nothing more beautiful than the pearl street mall in winter time, and hiking in Chautauqua park. Boulder would be an amazing place to not only further my education, but further my future and send it in the right direction. I cannot wait for my upcoming years in college. If I am fortunate enough to be a Buff, I know I will not only bring success for myself but to the community as as a whole.
