Will this exempt me from taking two years of foreign language?

<p>Hi,
So I happen to be fluent in English and German. I took the German Sat Subject Test on June 2 and got an 800. I've seen some people mention that if you get above 700 on a foreign language sat subject test, you will be exempted from taking two years of foreign language.
My question is whether there is any truth to that or not?

<p>It seriously depends on the school that you’re going to. Some schools will use it to place you into a higher level class of that subject while others will allow you to use it to fulfill your requirement. Usually if you google the name of your school and “language placement”, the policy will come up.</p>
